Arrived in Cairo and Michelle's friend Amita (a Winnipegger teaching here the past 5 years) picked us up with her driver. 4 lanes of traffic in each direction, yet lanes are clearly just suggestions. lots of friendly honking saying, move over, I'm coming past, lots of people driving on the lane markers rather than between them.
Amita's 2 Wpg friends were flying home friday night, so the 5 of us went out to a Lebanese restaurant. It's strange being in places where there are nearly only men. Men hold the jobs, only men in the vehicles, only men in the restaurant, unless you're a foreign woman.
Had a great sleep, but I feel really bagged this saturday morning.
