I have a wicked fast connection at the Cairo airport, so I can upload lots of photos.
friday night we all went to an irish pub in Luxor, Egypt. it really looked irish! I ordered chinese noodles, which was actually fettucine, but what can i expect! it was tasty. it's Ashley's birthday on Monday, so the restaurant brought out a big cake and sang happy birthday. A fun group ending!

Luxor
The city of Luxor used to be called Thebes, it was the largest city in the world when Alexander the Great entered it. the Egyptians accepted him as their king without a fight because he told them their ruler was very weak. This afternoon I went shopping in the markets of Cairo. Our hotel is surprisingly nice (and clean (!) except for the rugs in the room. Directly across from our hotel is the massive Luxor Temple. It's an amazing sight to see. I won't pay to go inside this one, they all are a little bit of the same thing after a while. But very impressive.
