On our bus ride to Jerusalem, we passed through the Negev desert.
Our hostel, the Citadel, is in the old city, is pretty much on the boundary between the Armenian and Christian Quarters.

This is how the washrooms work here. You shower in the room with the toilet, the sink is in a separate room. Our hostel in Eilat had a squeegee with a long handle for directing the water towards the drain after your shower. This one isn't great if the person prior forgot to put the lid down on the toilet before showering. No fun sitting on a wet toilet seat.
